Triskell Award for Excellence and Perfection - April 16, 2001 - first of all - congrats on a very nice site, good layout and nicely put together. i'm pleased to offer you the Triskell Award for Excellence and Perfection (find the pic enclosed) please be so kind as to put it up and link it back to my page and inform me once you've done so. i will then review your page and the link and add you to the winners' list.
DESIGN AND LAYOUT - appealing, offering a clear overview of the site and its contents - use of colours/backgrounds - how colours/backgrounds work with the writing - graphics (fitting for the subject; look; originality) all of it a defite thumbs up - i very much enjoyed the combination of colours. the site looks neat and fresh. overview...i esp was happy about the site map, since i don't know the topic too well and just browsed through each section from the map ;D. PRESENTATION - does the site have something to do with its actual topic - information on the topic (how much; easy to understand) it was sometimes hard to figure out what the whole thing is about. i was heartily glad for the faq ;D section. as for info on the topic - it is all very specific and i couldn't say if it is wellpresented since i'm totally uninformed. i did pick up a few interesting facts however ;D. CLEAR ARRANGEMENT/NAVIGABILITY - is it easy to find specific information? well, as i said before i was just browsing since i had no idea of the topic but i'd say yes all the same. - are the sections clearly divided and easily accessible? - can i always return to the main page - do I get lost in sub-sections with no way back now here you've done an excellent job. esp the nav bars at the top/bottom of the pages are wonderful to get around. what i find confusing is the arrows...i did read the graphics explanation...but i didn't find it particularly helpful i must confess. just the nav bars would be quite enough for me, they're easy to work with. the dots and arrows add more confusion than they help imho. LOADING TIME - reasonable (not more than 3 minutes for the entry page) loading time is excellent!! one of those sites where everything works splendidly and very fast!! congrats!! even the more graphics intense pages don't take ages, for which i'm always very grateful... ;D. the info pages are esp good - there are graphics, yet they don't take long to load and add to the overall look. COPYRIGHT INFO/DISCLAIMER - need not be overly elaborate - give credit for what isn't yours no problems there either OTHER - broken links and images (not good) - typos (warning: I'm thorough) - languages: I'm fluent in English and German, French works out no typos i found... ;D. and no broken images as far as i can tell...and as i pointed out i am thorough ;D. i did find a few broken links (links section), but there's no way one can be too strict here, i know that i do have a few broken links myself...it happens when people just take away their sites without giving one notice ;D. triskell@utanet.at Austrial |
