Site#0521 Award#3.5B051 8/18-11/11/2002 - Ironclad's Inn - Small pages work well here. Popups are used for subpages, which may or may not be a good thing. Notable is the navigation, which has pick lists, a side menu, or text at the bottom -- several ways to get around.
Score: Design:27/30, Navigation:29/30, Content:31/40 = 88%

Site#0522 Award#3.5B052 8/20-11/11/2002 Hanlon Homepage - Here is a pleasing family history display, however, java and long pages slow the experience due to a two minute load time per page. Content includes careful bibliography and references, as befits a genealogical site.
Score: Design:25/30, Navigation:25/30, Content:37/40 = 87%

Site#0528 Award#3.5B053 8/24-12/18/2002 Santo Zen - A small web design marketing site has some pages in Indonesian and English. Templates were visible for sample sites, but I would have liked to see some real ones.

Site#0529 Award#3.5B054 8/24-12/28/2002 JerryD's Music Site - This large site contains music, art (unknown copyrights), and web tools. Much of the text was centered (-20%) but I have noted the progress of the general color consistency and design (+5%) over the years.

Site#0532 Award#3.5B055 8/27/2002-2/8/2003 FolkArtCentral - This is a centralized shopping mall geared to small craft businesses that would not be able to get this exposure on their own. Other private sections for wholesale and exhibitors were not viewed.

Site#0663 Award#3.5B056 3/1/2003 Official Bulgarian Site of Rhapsody - This Bulgarian/English Band site loads acceptably fast, with some java navigation. The site is static, which is appreciated by owners of small computers. Animated sites load more slowly and are sometimes unusable. The band gives you fans guitar tabs, interviews, photos, a forum, MIDI files, and other things that will help you follow their career. Design was a bit cluttered in spots, but the high contrast fonts were helpful for readability. The 3 lower frame links below "gallery" were not viewable at 800x600, but show up at 1024x768 in both Netscape and Internet Explorer.

Site#0679 Award#3.5B057 3/25-4/3/2003 Tomi's Homepage - One must go back from most pages to the home page to load any other, the same aggravation as using a back key since there was no place else to go. Photos have previous/next, which is only a little better. The first part of the tiny text was on top of the background in Netscape, OK in IE. However, I wanted to award the attractive graphic design. Putting the left home page navigation strip on all of the other pages would help the flow a lot.

Site#0775 Award#3.5B058 10/31-11/2/2003 sfg fantasy art gallery - Several artists are spotlighted. A note on the site states that it is best in IE5+. Netscape 4, however, had no problems. Other sites could be Microsoft specific. Thumbnails are used, leading to larger pictures that must be closed manually.
